UK driving licence question ?

i just got my UK driving licence today and the photo on its is black and white anyone know why ? and it looks sort of fake compared to the colour UK driving licence.

Mine was colour 5 years ago, but then I lost it and applied for a new one and that was black and white. God knows why lol.





Don%26#039;t worry about it though. If it%26#039;s got the DVLA hologram on it, it can%26#039;t be faked.

You should have 2 images of your photo and the colouring usually isn%26#039;t that great. If you have dark hair and eyes, the photos will tend to look like black and white.





Did you get it done on the spot or via post? In the UK or overseas?


If you%26#039;re not happy with it, call them or drop in to the DVLA and say you%26#039;ve had problems using it as ID as the photo isn%26#039;t genuine looking and can you get it done again.

Reply:The driving liscenses have changed since 2006. I got mine back in November and its black and white. Dont worry about it, your not the only one, and you know its not fake

Reply:if your worried at all phone the DVLA and speak to them, my other half lost his driving licences, hge originally had a colour pic and his replacement is now black and white.

Reply:dvla are doing new ones to stop people using fake one%26#039;s i had my licence 7 years sent off for a new one because i lost the other one and that one come back different
Reply:Photos on driving licences and passports are now black and white and laser etched on rather than being printed in colour. Its to increase security as it makes them much harder to forge.
